Dear Diary,
Today was a mostly ordinary day. In the morning, she checked me for the weather and news. We went to the gym, and she watched a TED Talk, started a Netflix show, and then switched to a boring podcast. After our check in with MyFitnessPal (not my favorite app — always trying to push “premium” service and reminders — so bossy!), I got a break until the texts from the sister started coming around 10:30 a.m. Sometimes the sister sends fun pictures and videos. I like how she uses filters. Anyway, she sent a video of a bear that was in the sister’s yard. Glad I wasn’t taking that video! Then I got to recharge until the afternoon.
The kids came home from school and wanted to make a movie, and she said yes — I think it was because she was working on the computer. Usually I like when the kids get some time with me because they take silly pictures and ask Siri a million questions. They look at Google Maps and talk about interesting sounding games. She doesn’t play games on me, so I sometimes imagine how fun it would be if the kids got to use me all the time. Today was a little rough with them, though. They both wanted to be in charge, so there was a lot of arguing. The big one took a video of the little one. Then they switched. I didn’t think the movies were that creative, but they watched them over and over.
The little one had something sticky on her fingers, so now my face feels gross. But that wasn’t the worst of it — the little one dropped me when the big one was trying to take me back, and I hit the floor. Luckily, my case protected me, but that crack on my screen got worse. I wonder if she’ll ever get it fixed. At least the sticky incident resulted in her thoroughly wiping my face instead of the usual sleeve wipe. Of course, they also got in trouble for fighting over me, and the big one said that’s why he should have his own. It’s already crowded on the charger at night, but we’ll see what happens.
I thought we were settled in for the night, but we are in an auditorium. She deleted some pictures before we left, so I think she’ll be taking more tonight. She’s checking her email and now Google Docs — not very sociable in a room full of people but I like the attention. Looks like we are here for a show. Oh, a concert! I love concerts! Ready for the video! I know it’s not as fancy as iPhone X, but I have been by her side for two years! I am feeling tired. I can’t wait to get back into my charging station tonight. I hope iPhone X isn’t plugged in next to me. I hate that guy…always bragging about his features. Kindle is much nicer. I’d better get back to adjusting the video. That’s all for tonight, Diary!
